How to assign effects to BCR?

How to assign effects to BCR?

2005-12-28 by gekhenk

Hi there,

I'm so grateful for the tutorials on how to use the BCR in SX!! Thank
you verry much.

I've been adapting example 2 from the tutorial to my own needs. The
one thing I don't know is how assign effects like for example a eq-
plugin to the BCR. With an instrument I can choose one @ devices in
the generic remote but if I open an effect I can't choose it in the
device list. Can anyone help me out on how I can do this?

Many thanks!!

p.s. I'm trying to set this up in User bank 2 from the tutorial file.

You're welcome.

To assign an effect it has to be in use somewhere in the mixer.

Let's say you want to use the Q plug-in, since it's an eq that plug-in
would probably be in an insert of one of the channels. Let's put it in
insert 1.

Here's how it would look for that.

device  = vst-mixer
channel = selected (or Audio channel)
value   = Insert 1 Q --> pick a control

repeat for other controls.

If your plug-in is in the FX group (send) this is how you'd do it.

Create an FX track
Lets call it 'FX-1 Reverb' and put a reverb in it's insert
here's how it would show up.

device  = vst-mixer
channel = FX-1 Reverb
value = Insert reverb --> pick a control

Have fun, Take care.
