Casio Collectors

Joscelyn, you sound like a girl after my own heart! You have some great Casio gear! No, my kit isn't the one on the picture, but mine are brand new old stock - never been played. The other 3 pads I bought later are second hand and had a fair bit of use, but cleaned up well. Amazing that you found 2 kits!

I actually bought mine from Germany - there was no chance of finding them in Australia. It sounds like from both our experience that the most common place to see them is Europe. It appears that there is a drum rack for them made by Casio (or at least has a Casio logo on it). I have a picture of it in a 1987 Casio brochure somewhere.

Here's my list of Casios I have:

FZ-1
SK-8
RAP-1 Rapman
DZ drums (6 pads, 2 kicks)
DP-1 dual drum pads set (6 of them!)
Casio DH100 digital sax
EG-5 cassette guitar
PG-380 synth guitar
VZ-10M rack synth (VZ-1 in a rack)
CZ-101
SS-1 sound sticks
DG20 digital guitar
AZ-1

And still looking for others!

Wow you've had most of the really big ones. I love my FZ-1, it is the center piece of my MIDI setup in my studio, had it for nearly 20 years. I also have the complete set of Casio Shareware Collection samples for it - about 140MB of samples. I'll put them up soon.

I have a great deal of manuals, I'm in the process of putting them up here, or at least to links to where they are parked on my bands website:
