Hello all!
I'd like to get some input on controls and I/O for a 2U MOTM
compatible Sub Oscillator panel. Here's what I had planned but am
now questioning:
Pots for only the straight signals of A and B channel and the four
multiplier outputs (six pots total)to send to the mixer.
A SPDT/center off switch for the prescaler to select either /3, /5,
or /7 (is that right Ken? The Alternate Layout notes are clear but
my head is not! If I do away with the bypass switch with a pot for
the straight signal, I simply switch between Q3 and Q5 - right?).
Eight SPST switches to select Q1 through Q4 of both the A and B
channel dividers to send to the mixer.
Jacks for Channel A and Channel B input and the mixer output (three
total)
While I'm sure it would be fun to have the Q5-Q7 outputs buffered for
use as control voltages, adding three more jacks would be a bit
much. The X2 output from the 4011 would be nice, too, but would mean
adding a pot for mixing into the overall out. It seems that there
will be enough sizzle coming out of the multiplier inputs to make up
for that.
Lastly, has anyone used a different gate for the multiplier? I can't
imagine that anything else would provide as much output, but I'd
appreciate hearing about your experiments.
Thanks!
