Cool Use for the CGS Wave Multiplier

2006-01-31 by itsatwistah

I've been using the CGS Wave Multiplier in a fairly unique manner
lately and I thought I'd share it with the group.

I've been using it for creating different rhythms from a standard LFO
output. Cool thing is, the LFO can be a sine or triangle wave. I
simply plug the LFO into the input and connect the pulse output to
whatever it is I want to trigger (a sequencer, S&H, one of Ken's
clockable modules, whatever). Adjusting the folds control will
render different spacings on the pulse out. Make sure your device
can handle the signal (polarity, level, etc.). Ken's stuff should
have no problem.

Here's a sample I did using a 16 step sequencer controlled by the
output of my MS-20 Clone filter in self-resonance - it's acting as
the LFO. In this case, the MS-20 filter can be used as a voltage
controlled clock (though I did not need to put it under voltage
control on this sample - the jaunty timing of the sequencer is a
result of the Wave Multiplier's effect on the input signal).

It's a 2.86 MB download. This link may wrap a bit....
