Hi. Thanks for the response. No I am running it only a +15V. the -15
pad from the power connector is not connected. I traced the problem
to a bad transistor on the End out. No everything is fine voltage
wise and no more smoke and craters : although that was kinda fun :)
Now I think I am facing the chip incompatibility problem that Richard
discussed. I am getting no burt pulses just a repeat of the trigger.
It is following the internal clock. Right now I have
TI - 4017
Fairchild - 40106
Tomorrow I receive my TI 40106's so hopefully that will get me
bursting away. I'll report back tomorrow. Thanks, Charles.
