i have FINALLY stuffed my infinite melody PCB and i have it active but
i suspect that something is amiss. i have the storied rev 0 board.
(sorry to be bugging you with such ancient history) but i noticed that
there appears to be one substantitial difference in the versions and
that is, on my Rev-0, the XOR gate* that drives the clock of IC5 is
run off the 4024 divider....whereas in the the Rev 1 the XOR gate**
that clocks IC5 is, itself, clocked directly off the same line as the
4024 .
I can easily slice traces and make these mods myself but i thought i'd
get the designers's advice first. At a distance, it appears that this
change would increase the rate of change, and that would be desirable
for my application.
i searched the measages on this group but noticed nothing specific to
the change from rev 0 to rev 1. So i hope i'm not wasting your time
rehashing some very old issue here...
