Gate Sequencer Questions

2006-04-15 by thomas white

I am about to build by dual gate sequencer and am designing a panel for it. In reading the instructions on the website I ran across the following statement which differs from some of the panel designs I have seen people make.

"The following outputs are for internal use only, when connected to the switch bank and output buffer boards: ODIS (output disable), CLK OUT (clock out), C1 to C8 (column outputs). Do NOT bring these output out to front panel jacks, as you may damage the circuitry. "

Can I bring out the Column Outputs for stage outputs to the panel?

...If bringing them out is their pulse length dependant on the switch settings or are the like a simple pulse out with the same length each stage regardless of the switch setting?

Can I bring out the clock through output to the panel?

Can I bring out the ODIS and what exactly does it do if so?

Separately, do the full/mix outputs really = gate outputs with varying gate length depending on the switches?

Thank you for the help folks!

One last thing, can you mod something to cascade 1 set of switches to the second set for 16 step lengths? Figure this one is a long shot.
