Serge style is all Banana. The combined style is Buchla. Avoid it. It
severely limits your patching options. Stick with one style of jack for
everything.

There are a few conception differences to using the two types of jacks,
specifically with pre-routed signals (known as normalizing). There is also a
minor difference in drive circuit configuration, but that is a "nicety", and
the two types can usually co-exist with no problems.

For what it is worth, all of the 6" long CGS boards are designed to use
banana jacks, though can happily drive 3.5 or 1/4" jacks with no modification.
