PLeasent surprise. i had no idea. i have some telefunken tubes i
found this way and mullard tubes and other european. ALl i do is buy
old lab gear from this place called epo. and usually i spend 20 to
50 dollars on gear with 10-30 tubes in it. its kinda risky cause
they could be bad but so far ive never ever gotten a jap tube or
russian tube. there all at least american. so maybe i should keep it
up. cause when i add up the value for the tubes and take in account
that i know i wont get the price that the big tube companies get for
them, i usually divide the price in half at least, ive come out with
on avarege 200 dollors worth of tubes. and this time i got pretty
lucky.
Oh and i got thise all tube pulse width generator that could make
two pulse waves and you could control the width and it was between 1
cycle and 15,000 cycles. it would have been nice to track it to a
keyboard some how but i ended up jus tearingit apart for the bir
transformers and tubes and some other things. but i saved the power
supply which is perfect for powring 15 or so tubes at 250 volts and
there filiments. alotta amaps it had and it had a fan. so i might
use that to power my tube synth im in the middle of making.
One other really good thing i got was that tube power supply that
could go from 1 to 3000 volts dc at 20 amps. i paid 20 dollars for
that cause it had a few of those nasty semiconducter thingies in it
but then i saw it for sale on ebay for 400. course that means id
have to lower it to 200 to even get a bid prob.
Oh and one other thing i got was a hammond tone cabinet im gonnamake
anotherpost about that cause im curious about that now.
