My First Psycho LFO

2003-03-20 by Michael

Hi Group,

Just built my first Psycho LFO. Considering I could write what I
know about electronics on the head of a pin I was pleased as punch
when it worked first time I plugged it in. I had the pots wired
backwards but that was an easy fix. I can see this being a fun
little module for chaos patches and that sort of thing.

I'd like to add rate control pots to the other three oscillators for
more control though. Looking at the printed side of the PCB with the
rate/depth/glide connections facing to the right:

Tie one connection of each new pot into the left hand side of the
100K, 150K and 220K resistors and then tie the second connection into
the bottoms of the fourth, third and second 560K resistors
respectively. Lastly, solder a bridge between the centre and right
connectors on the pot. On paper this looks right but will it work?

Would it also be a good idea to decrease the 100K, 150K and 220K
resistor values when adding the three new rate control pots? I'm not
sure but it seems like these values are high. Any info would be
welcome.

Something I noticed on the PCB are three two-hole connector points.
One set is above the 150K resistor, the second is to the right of the
220K resistor and the third is near the centre of the PCB. What are
these?

Thanks,
Michael
