I made a variant of the CGS10 using the 74C923 (instead of the
74C922). This version allows for 20 keys (4x5 rows) instead of 16. It
works fine except for one problem. When pressing a key I get a nice
binary 5-digit output corresponding with the pressed key. However,
very often, when I release that key again the output switches to the
next number (i.e. if I press key '7' then after release sometimes the
output sits at '8'). Could this be a faulty chip? I have no others of
these chip so I can't check that really. Or can there be another
problem for this?
