Re: DUMB MODULE CONTEST

2007-08-30 by laxt57@aol.com

Hi

Well, actually one of your prizes would take

the award for the dumbest modules(design wise)
That is any EFM modules/partial kits
Or is it just me?

Subject: [cgs_synth] DUMB MODULE CONTEST

With all this talk of crazy complex modules (design wise) I thought
it would be interesting to see what dumb modules you could all think
of. So I though I'd start a contest.

Grand Prize: untest Phaser board from a dead Polysix.
First Place: Assortment of EFM PCBs/partial kits.
Second Prize: crappy old yamaha sound module.

Rules:
1. Entries should be a PDF or word document.
2. It would be great if everybody actually built something and sent
it in, but I realize this would prevent most from participating. So,
modules should be reality based and should theoretically work.
3. Entries should include description of module functions, proposed
front panel drawing, and (If possible) schematic (Knapkins OK).
4. Sound samples would be great, even if you have to hum them.

DEADLINE OCT 31

Please send them to my private email babysealclub@yahoo dot com

I'll compile all the entries into one document, and send them back to
everybody who entered for judging.

My motivation - cheap fun. If any of the rest of you are like me, my
interest far exceeds my finances. I enjoy reading the posts
everyday, and I think of you all as my friends. I think Larry would
have enjoyed this.
