Hey, I picked up a bunch of modules from a fellow (some commercial, some diy) one of which is the CGS ASR (cgs34).
It is not working. It basically pulls the power rails down (have not checked which yet) as soon as it is turned on.
Here is where it gets funny. All the IC are socketed. So I take all of them out. Still whacks the power rails. Long story short, I have removed all IC, all panel connections and all 3 of the polarized caps... still whacked. I searched for solder bridges and found one... but alas, still whacked.
Then I got to thinking, perhaps this is an earlier revision with some sort of brd problem... is this possible? It looks as though somebody attempted to cut a trace, but there is still continity. Are there any older revisions of this board needing a trace cut or something?
Thanx,
Tony
