There are quite a lot of NOS styrene caps out there, I am sure I can find them. What I am
not sure of is which ones I need.

I used to destroy lots of components, and board traces, when I started. Much of the reason
why I am so cautious now is that years ago, if I needed to desolder, traces would always be
wrecked. My old Rat Shack iron was too cold, and the parts often weren't so clean, so
joints took a long time and way too much flux. Lately I use a fairly hot iron and it makes a
good joint instantly, even without any flux. I have been sinking heat with clips for delicate
parts, so hopefully my styrene caps have been making it unscathed.

I don't know what this is. Polyester? Polypropylene? I'll look it up. Polystyrene seem to be
my favorites though.
