Hi Russ - Are you sure the pots aren't doing "anything" for 3/4 of their travel? These units are noted for their quirkiness and touchiness of the pots settings. And a lot depends on what you're using it for. For LFO and envelope use, yes, on my units (with log pots) I only use about the last 2/3's of the pot range. It's only when you kick it into VCO mode that the other 2/3's becomes useful. And for VCO mode you really want the log pots. I guess it depends on what you're planning to use this for mostly.
