It sounds like you don't understand the "grounding" issue.
What needs to be connected to each synth is the zero volt line of the power supply. Often the zero volt line is also connected to ground in a power supply - but not always.
I suspect this is one such case.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
