This is all very new to me and I only know what I would like to do,
not whether or not it can actually be done ;-) If I understand, the
idea would be to first have a single LFO with 4 outputs. Output 2, 3,
and 4 would each have a 3 way switch for a phase offset of 0-15-30
degrees, or somesuch, from the setting of the switch "before" it. I
guess you could even offer 2 or 3 shapes for each output. (3 rows of
4 would still only be a 2U stooge panel even with the 3 switches.)
That would be a cool module all by itself.

Then the panner would have 4 in, 4 CV in, "left" and "right" out, 4
inverting CV attenuators, and 4 "balance" knobs. But, what would
happen to signals manually panned all the way "left" or "right"? A
rising CV can't make it pan more than full to one side.
