Synth Dot Com Panels in Photo Section

Mr. Brown

Are you still aroung on this list? The panels you posted in the photo
section are GREAT! Did you do them yourself or are they Stooge
panels? I've been thinking about a couple of the same modules you
posted so I had to ask.

Yep, still lurking here. Thanks.

I did the panels myself, silkscreening blank dotcom panels from Roger
and drilling them with a drill press. I acquired a nice punch press a
few months ago, which i a lot nicer than drilling. However, because of
the bent edges on the moog style panels, I still have to drill any
holes that are less than 5/8" from the sides.

I have some info about the silkscreening process on my website:

http://www.guitarfool.com/Silkscreen.html

I recently finished panels for the CGS26 Analog Logic, but haven't
taken any pictures yet. Also have about a half dozen other panels for
some other modules that I haven't taken pictures of yet either.

Jeff

Have you kept your screens? Would you consider screeng some panels
for me (and maybe others on the list?) if we supplied the blanks?
What might you change for this? (I currently get MOTM panels from the
Stooges and am possibly looking there for some DotCom in the future,
but if you already have what we need, a little competition is good for
everyone right?)

So far I've kept all of my screens (which is quite a few - I'll
probably recycle some of the older ones that I wasn't too happy with).

I had discussed printing extra panels for other people with John
Mitchell and Morbius. I had figured on a 2 for one barter - one
printed and drilled panel in exchange for 2 blank panels (or
equivalent). There was going to be a yahoo groups just for adapting
modlues to DotCom format, but it died after about a week or two.

Maybe should move this thread to another forum (ie; ModularSynthPanels)?

Modular synth panels is primarily for guys getting panels from
Schaeffer and file sharing of those Schaeffer files. I started a new
group after the synthesizers.com group expoloded. It is called
DotComFormat. It is for dot com users. Dot com format conversion is
on topic there. Your files and discussion would certainly be welcome
there.

Stooge panels has just broken into the screening of dot com format
panels. We just ran about 30 in 3 different designs. However,
having more than one supplier would certainly be good news for the
group. We tend to run hundreds at once about twice a year. Our
primary format right now is MOTM. It sounds to me like smaller
quantities might be your bag. But, in any case, that kind of
discussion is welcome on the list. I certainly cannot do them as
cheaply as you do. We have a professional screener do them.

Depending on the others in this forum, we can continue the discussion
here, but it might be better in the DotComFormat group as the common
thread there is the DocCom System itself. I also would be more then
happy to drill the panels myself, although I'm sure others would
rather have you do it. If you are interested, lets move the
discussion there and continue?

(I am also sure that anyone in this forum that is interested in Analog
Modular Synths in general is more then welcome there as well, although
there is a little less of the DIY aspect to that forum as the actual
Synthesizers.com modules are all pre-assembled. {Good thing too. If I
had'nt purchased a 'base system' from Synthesizers.com, I'd still be
staring at a pile of empty PCB's wondering when I'd finally do
something. Now I can build one at a time and start using it
immediately!!})

working Psycho LFO {so far}.)
