CGS-28 Sequential Switch problem....

CGS-28 Sequential Switch problem....

2006-02-01 by Tom Adam

Howdy,

I've just recently finished my Sequential Switch and have noticed
something strange.
It seems like it's counting OK, but the led of step 6 never comes up and
the output voltage at step 6 is 0.
I checked polarity of the led and that's OK.
Also when I turn the pots fully cw, step 7 gives only 5V instead of 7V
on all the other steps.
Checked resistor values, looks good too.

Any thoughts?

hi
have you tried replacing the transistor?

My Guess - If you have used an LM358 anywhere, replace it with a TL072.

Some 358 are so slow that the counter can jump several steps - and it is
always the same steps too.

Ken,

I'm already using a TL072.
Maybe I should change the LM324 for a TL074 too?
