wave multiplier: sub nte996 (or some other) for lm3080?

2002-09-14 by Jeffrey Pontius

I'm starting on my parts list for the Wave Multiplier, but not having an
easy time finding an LM3080. Mouser in the USA has an NTE996 that comes
up when I search for a LM3080. Will the NTE996 work as a sub for the
LM3080? Is there another sub for the LM3080 that some one can recommend?
I don't know how 'crucial' the LM3080 is for the 'Wave Multiplier sound'.
Thanks, Jeff

This appears to be the same as a CA3080.
