CGS VCO vs. Serge NTO

CGS VCO vs. Serge NTO

2006-05-16 by Tim J

Hi,

Anyone ever have a chance to compare the CGS VCO and a Serge NTO?

I'm curious if they sound very similar or have a different overall tone.
I'm thinking of building a couple of CGS VCOs to expand my humble Serge
system. That said, its not terribly important they sound exactly alike (I'm
just happy there are some similar features like the VC waveshaping) but I
guess I'm curious if they have that Precise Serge sound or a fatter tone
(like MOTM,Moog and the like).

Thanks,
Tim

The CGS VCO emulates the very first Serge VCO with the simple wave shaper,
not the NTO. As such, they will sound different.
