New Synth-DIY page on my website!

New Synth-DIY page on my website!

2006-09-03 by thomas white

Hi all,

Sorry for the cross post. I have finally added a synth-diy page to my website.

www.naturalrhythmmusic.com/diy.html

This page shows images and gives brief details of my various modules adapted to the awesome MOTM format (personal preference alert!). There are modules from CGS, Oakley, Music From Outer Space, Wiard, Electronics for Music and some other cool stuff.

Do not miss the simple "LED Jack" project if you like blinking lights. I cannot take credit for this design but I like it very much and have used it plenty.

Also featured is my build-out of a Korg Polysix BBD effects board into an awkwardly-long MOTM module. Sound sample included.

There will be the FPD panel files added soon for anyone who may find them useful. I also plan (at some point... meaning when I get to it) to add an updated parts source list for MOTM conversions. Please share feedback and I hope you enjoy the images.

PS. I have also started a "MFOS Music From Outer Space" Group if you have any interest in that type of thing. (MFOS@yahoogroups.com)

hi
very well designed webpage - nice job

I built a few led-jacks, was a little suspicious of the specified 560K
resistor so experimented with a few different sizes, settled with 220R.
Did you mean 560R?
anyway great little design, i isolated the components with heat-shrink
tube and the head of the led pops out of the jack's collar.

cheers

Andrew,

Yes I did, thanks for the heads up. I need to fix my
page. That's what I get for writing code at 4am. Ha!
Thanks again for pointing that out to me.

The plugs are fun right? I find them very useful and
great to teach my firends just what this CV stuff is
all about.
