Could i substitute a 6au6 for the ef86?

Could i substitute a 6au6 for the ef86?

I read some where that it might work but i dont know enough about
tubes, would i have to make any alterations to the tube vcf and other
tube ciruits besides the obv 9 to 7 pin change? OK thanks

The pin changes is all you will need. I've done it quite a few times.

A cheaap option uis using a PF86 for bub a expensive EF86, just different
heater voltage.
