CGS60 Stompbox Adapter bleed?

CGS60 Stompbox Adapter bleed?

2015-01-28 by neilbaldwin70

Hello all,

I built a custom M-class style panel for a customer comprising of:

Triple Comparator CGS96

Peaks and Troughs CGS84

Stompbox Adapter CGS60

Phaser CGS90

They're mounted and powered via two CGS91 mounting rails.

I wired up the panel and tested it and all functions of the individual modules appeared to be working correctly. However the customer says he's experiencing "bleeding between the modules" and there's a very noticeable "jump in the gain of the preamp (stomp box adapter) when you patch into the triple comparator, even if it's not connected to the audio path" (his words).

He's sending me a more detailed report on it but I wondered if those symptoms ring a bell with anyone before I get him to ship it back to me for further testing?

thanks,

Neil

Sounds like an overloaded power supply or too thin wires used to connect to the power supply to me.

Thanks Ken

Apparently the panel is the only thing connected to the supply (it's a Serge M-Boat with power)

My power wiring is certainly as substantial as the supplied power cable/connector that came with the M-Boat.

Are there any calculations regarding the expected current draw of those individual circuits that I listed?

I don't have current specifications, but none of them draw much. Does the fellow have a proper earth connection between the Serge and whatever he is connecting the output to?
