pcb layouts

2015-03-31 by vdmdav

Hello, I see in the cgs website almost all the modules descriptions says the line:

"Before you start assembly, check the board for etching faults. Look for any shorts between tracks, or open circuits due to over etching."

So I assume there are some pcb layouts other than ordering ready made pcbs.. I cant find where, anyone can help?

Regards

David

You assume incorrectly. The only boards for which artwork is available have that artwork visible on the construction page, and that is for discontinued boards only.
Not all commercially produced boards are perfect. These days it is very rare for them to stuff up, but in my time I have seen horrors you would not believe!

Ken orders boards from a quality fab house. I don't recall hearing of any duds.

Visually checking to make sure there are no bridges between IC pins is all I've ever done.
