dc mixer as light-sensitive input
2004-02-03 by R. Drake
I've been wanting to incorporate some light-sensitive controllers into my
modular setup... I've got some CDS light-sensitive resistors, but they're
pretty variable in terms of their light/dark resistance ranges, plus light
levels in performance are pretty variable... so i'm thinking some kind of
variable dc amp? so i can set the sensitivity and range?
and then i'm thinking that ken's dc mixer might be just the ticket. could i
just connect the CDS between +power and a single input, then tweek the
controls to get offset & range?
i guess doepfer has something along these lines:
(http://www.doepfer.de/a179.htm), w/ inverter and gate detector (simple
comparator?)
