The ADC is available from various distributors, like Digikey, but the DAC may be hard to find. But I don't think you should change chips, especially rare or expensive ones, in the blind hope that one will magically fix your problem. The right thing to do is to have a technician debug the problem properly, and figure out what's wrong by analyzing the clues in the behavior. I don't know any repair technicians in your area, but there must be someone who is capable of understanding how the Polaris works, and who is experienced with a scope and other tools. The service manual has good descriptions. I know, I wrote them. Unfortunately, they're in English, so you would need someone who can understand technical English. -- Ciao, Paul D.
