Hello,

I have a Chroma Polaris that I'd like to sell. Before I do, I'd like
to know if you guys can give me at least a ball-park idea of what I
can expect to get for it.

It makes sounds, but it's definitely got the typical problems of old
Chroma age. Some of the upper-level membrane switches don't work,
some of the lights don't come on. I can switch the sounds, but it has
a mind of its own and sometimes changes sounds at random, or doesn't
work sometimes, works other times. It's ailing. The sliders work.

I don't expect to get a lot of money for it, but I really, really
don't want to throw it in the trash either. Just can't do it to an
old friend. I've had it and played it since the late '80's--until it
started going senile a few years ago.

I live near Philadelphia. I would rather not ship it either, just
becuase it's so delicate. I could deliver it to the New York City
area in a couple weeks, or somewhere between Philly and there. Of
course I'd be happy for somebody to pick it up.

Any suggestions? I was hoping I could find a Chroma expert nearby who
would pay me a fair price for it, fix it up, and give it a new life.
I'd also like to get it out of my studio. I could list it on eBay,
but then I'd probably have to ship it.

Any help will be appreciated.

Steve
