Hey there,

Fuse, thanks for setting this up. I'm sure this will benefit all of
us.

Here's a link that has a bit of information about the Polaris:
http://machines.hyperreal.org/manufacturers/Rhodes/Chroma-Polaris/

I've had my Polaris for a couple of years now, but haven't done too
much with it lately, because of moves and other priorities. Two of the
voices are bad (fortunately, you can turn them off), so I have four
part polyphony. I'm not a great keyboard player, so usually four is
plenty :) . I've had to swap a few ICs in the "voice" section to get
the four to work. The problem with the other two is that the ICs that
are broken are "out of print", so they're difficult to find and
expensive. Oh well.

My membrane keypad has a few problems with it. I tried once or twice
to fix it, with limited success. Therefore, I'm very interested in
trying to find the original patch tape(s), or a wav or mp3 file of the
tape(s). Anyone have the tape(s)? Alternately, I'd like to be able to
send a patch from my computer, via MIDI and Cakewalk or some other
utility.

That'll do for now,
Talk to you later,
5-11under
