In any case, just got back from the northwoods, and felt tempted to 
try and adjust the ADC again, to no avail. I did notice what seems to 
be a discrepancy in the service manual though. In the ADC Range 
Adjustment procedure, it refers to R45 as being the control for it, 
but later in the manual, in the section "checking for proper 
adjustments" it states in parenthesis (Lower function - D - 4 and 
R46) under the slider checking procedure. Strange indeed. Regardless, 
R45 seems to have no effect whatsoever on the slider range.

Thanks again for the manual though, I'm sure at some point it will do 
more than frustrate me, lol.
