Have got my synth working and need to figure out how to get factory sounds back. I remember the keyboard having a great selection of different sounds but I guess the memory has changed and now it's just one sound. What is the method? Thanks.

Connect it to a computer via MIDI, and transmit the .syx files on the
RhodesChroma.com web site into it. Any old USB to MIDI converter will work.
On Windows, I used a simple utility called MIDI-OX to do the transmission.

Hi Paul,
I went through the steps to download factory sounds with MIDI-OX with no success. What else do I need to implement with the synth to accept sounds? I have the midi connected from my interface out to Chroma in. Is that correct? Thank
Matt

You mean MIDI IN, don't you?

I seem to recall some configuration setting or settings that have to be made
first. I think you have to set the Basic Channel to 1, via LF, MIDI CHANNEL,
and then turn 1 on and 2-6 off. And you may have to turn on the Main MIDI In
switch, using LF, INTERFACE, 7. I don't believe it's necessary to turn on
the MIDI Panel Switch using LF, CASSETTE, 8.

Yes the manual says to use MIDI In when sending information to the synth.
