Tuning stability question....

Tuning stability question....

2015-07-04 by steve.welk@...

My recently back from the dead Polaris had been working well but seems to have developed a bit of a tuning issue. When I first turn it on cold, "tune all" won't tune channel 1 and it gets taken out of service. I wait a while, try it again and it works - but osc 1 and 2 definitely aren't quite in tune with each other. As I leave it on and keep re-tuning all, they keep getting closer and eventually (an hour?) it sounds fine.

From what I've read here, sounds like s/h cap might be probable cause. Any comments? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve

Try swapping the CEM3374 with another voice. If you need a new one I have them in stock.

First thing is to swap the CEM3374 dual oscillator chip between channel 1 and another one and see if it's the CEM or not.
