debugging Polaris right panel...

2005-08-31 by atuzzi

Hi polarised,

I have the "left panel" working. The "right panel" has problems on the
first line of buttons (the one that contains A B C D E (and more...)).

Before I start a debug of the pins, i guess that probably someone have
alreday done it, so the question is:
what's the line in J9A and/or J9B connector that is interruped (given
the problem I have...)?

thank you for your help
antonio

If you have (or can get) a copy of the Service Manual, the membrane switch
decode is deone for you on page 9-2/9-3. A, B, C, D, E, & Uppper Function
all go through J9A-3. (F, G, H, go through J9A-4).

Good luck in your repair.

Hi David,

dead on the spot!
And now everybody knows I didn't read section 9 of the Service
Manual...

So yesterday my new CP (model 2121) went under surgery for connector
J9A and at the end the CP was ALIIIVVEEEE!!!.

ok ok I have only 4 leds not working ("9" "Volume" "detune" "VCO2
Env") to close the case (in every sense). It's just the leds (I tested
with external led and alligator clips..).

Ciao
