Rhodes Chroma Polaris

Hi All!

I just got a Chroma Polaris. Great sound!

The sliders are a bit worn out I think. In particular the cutoff  
slider jums all over the place when you move it. Before I start  
unsoldering/cleaning/etc, do you have any advice?

Also, it has some problems with the membrane switch tail. It has  
already been tipped over with silver paint, but it is still flakey. It  
worked fine at the seller's place, but as soon as I got home the top  
row of bank selects failed. I opened it up, pushed the tail a bit, and  
it worked again. Looks like it needs a more definite solution than  
silver paint.

And last question, it has V5 firmware. Is there any advantage to  
upgrading to V9?
