Polaris midi question?

Polaris midi question?

2009-01-18 by gregorius_12

Hi,

I have 2 questions regarding the midi-mode.

1. How do I get the Polaris to play in Unison-mode over midi?

I can control the Polaris with the midi-sequencer and it plays fine
with only 2 oscilators. But when I set the Polaris in Unison-mode it
still seems to be playing with only 2 oscilators?

If I set the synth in unison-mode and play the sound on the keyboard
I can hear it in unison-mode so my guess is that this is has
something to do with the Polais midi settings.

Chapter 10 of the Polaris User's Manual shows a number of settings
as how the Polaris responds to incoming MIDI messages. I have tried
experimenting a bit but havnt managed to figure out why unison-mode
dosent work over midi?

2. As I mentioned the Polaris works well with the sequencer but when
I operate it from my masterkeyboard it has some echoe-effect. The
polaris plays one note as I press the key and repeat it when I
release.

Again something that probably has something to do with the
midisettings, any advice about these issues would be kind.

Cheers/Greg

What selections/controls do you manipulate to have it run in 'Unison'
mode from the keyboard?

This really sounds like a midi echo/feedback loop. This could occur any
where in the MIDI network - but assuming that there is a direct
connection between the Master Keyboard and the Polaris, temporarily
remove the Polaris' MIDI out connection and see if it removes the
behaviour.
