sequencer tempo jumping

it appears that my Polaris's sequencer occasionally jumps to a faster tempo for all my recorded sequences. usually it starts fine , but after a few patch changes etc, the sequencer plays notably faster than the preset normal tempo---i can adjust it back with the slider, but even going back and forth between normal and sequencer modes or even turning the unit off and on quickly doesnt seem to reset it. but like the next day everything is back to normal. Any ideas?
