====================================================================== hello crumar-trilogy-boyz-and-girlz, since i did a lot of research to understand the trilogy a bit and finally do understand him a bit , i thought to share this knowledge to any crumar-belover-musician ... the following r full extracts of mailxchange with jeremy, another crumar-owner ... i'll hope he'll find it okay : ====================================================================== hey jeremy °-°, thanx for the info , yesterday i indeed try to tweak the presets 2-8 and it = great to see it works well !! Now that i know that (almost all of ) the onboard controls only have effect on user set 1, i slightly begin to understand how my crumar works ... : ) pssst ... here = some advice or tip from me (as i xperimented with the crumar yesterday )- that is if you didn't already know - : on the back you've got the signal out and right under a TM input (don't know what TM is ) well, if you use a small jack-to-jack cable in this TM input when playing a synth part you just will hear a clean synth ... but when you play the synth AND touch the tip of the cable, you will hear some delicate modulated synthsounds !! Oh, before i forget, i can remember that you'll only will hear these sounds if the sync is put on and ofcourse while playing at the same time !! These sounds as i said before are subtile changes ... but very useful i think ... héhé we created our own crumar-theremin ;) [very very not comparable but that's why it = a joke] I also read that the input was used to control the LFO of the crumar. As i totally not am into electronics, and i mean building kits or doing modifications, i would'nt be able to go deeper into this. But if you discover a way to control this input, whatever it may be, would you let me know ? I tried to put a distortion before the jack-to-jack to pump up the volume but it wasn't much effective ... perhaps because the signal has to go 'much' farther , i dunno :( Also i tried to use the signal out, just to here the sounds [actually it = only one sound], and i must say i was very pleased with it, ... as i used my crumar in earlier times only with the polysynth-output, i thought the sound of the synth(not the organ or string-sounds) were very 'not that punchy enough' , ... but the signal out is everything i + - thought an analogue synth would sound ... although nothing on the board responds to it ... only the pitch i think . I dunno if you heard once a roland system100 before (yo david!)? ? It surely doesn't sound like that [cos that is truly warm analogue sound!!] but it lets me kinda dream of it ... Well, it surely was cool to talk to another crumar-musician ... keep in contact ciao °-° jozefalexanderpedro ====================================================================== >From: jeremy bullian >To: jozefalexanderpedro >Subject: Re: crumar trilogy >Date: Tue, 18 Jun 2002 11:59:38 -0700 (PDT) > >hey, nice to hear of another trilogy owner.
