Tom,
Yes, I am afraid to say, I DO remember the
'Jazzman'.
I used to sell them from 'Chase' in Manchester, as
we were the only Crumar dealer in the UK.

I've name-searched the web in vain for background on my tired old JAZZMAN
electric piano. So I get the impression that it's not a much-sought-after
design classic that keyboard collectors dream about finding....
...but it has a certain charm all of its very own - especially the
vibes/rhodes-type sound that's stuck on maximum sustain, anyway
this is inspite of a number of keys that fail to return to the upright
position when asked to do so, and some some earthing issues which announce
their presence at untimely moments
so what's all this waffle about then you ask?
I just wanted to know if anyone 'out there' knows anything at all about the
JAZZMAN
....whether it's catching sight of a review in some old music mag, or
remembering seeing some glossy but ill-fated advertising campain featuring
my jazzman being caressed by a toothsome bathing beauty....or the gig you'll
never forget where some roll-necked chick corea wannabee was givin it large
on a jazzman at the back of the old Queen's head in Wolverhampton on a wet
monday night in 1982.....
well?
