Any Spirit owners out there?

Any Spirit owners out there?

2001-08-14 by matt@rbtb.co.uk

Hi there,

Just an idle interest thing really. I've searched the archives and
there are no mentions of the Crumar Spirit. Perhaps there are some
lurkers?

Rumour has it there were no more than 100 ever made - but nobody seems
to have an exact figure. I've just bought serial # 00020. Who's got
the highest serial number? I've seen # 00017 and # 00049 kicking
around the web so far.

Yours frivolously,
Matt Nolan.

Matt,
You are right in thinking that around 100 were made.
But I can not confirm the number that was built.
What colour/wood casing do you have.

It's the darker wood, earlier version. Good question to ask really. At which
point did the wood change - after the first 50, or more, or fewer?

I think I might set up a web-site / guest-book with my amassed findings and
hope that over time, other people will add their info.

Regards,
Matt Nolan.

T1

2002-03-07 by James Nelms

My T1 has a problem...or maybe it is the way it was
made: When the bass is turned on, i can hold down a
key with my thumb and arpeggio down or up the bass
keys with my other fingers, but not the reverse--hold
down a key with my pinky and arpeggio up the bass
keys. Not sure if there is a circuit problem or if
this is the way they were made...Anyone with
suggestions, i would greatly appreciate it.
-James

Ahah, another. When you say "not dark wood", do you mean mid-brown or
practically white?

Still haven't made my website - but at least I have bought the domain
names for it. One day I'll get round to it, along with all the other
little jobs...

Cheers,
Matt Nolan.

The wood on #52 is mid-brown. I'm not sure what to call it, but it's
a lot lighter than, say, the walnut on a minimoog.
Let me know if I can help with the web site. I assume you have
schematics and owner's manual...

Oh yes, and blank patch sheets for drawing settings on. Some kind of patch
library would be a nice thing on the web site, but I'm not sure exactly
how best to express them in a minimal form...

Cheers,
Matt.
