Anyone interested in a (non-working) Crumar Stratus?

Anyone interested in a (non-working) Crumar Stratus?

2012-10-10 by nervejam

I'm having a clear-out.
I bought this Stratus years ago with the intention of bringing it back to life. I've never got around to it, and I don't think I ever will.
It's not working. Not a peep out of it, athough cosmetically it's very good. No photos available at this time.
So it's time to move it on. If anyone's interested, send me a message with a reasonable offer. Remember, these things are loaded with Curtis chips (although I have no idea how many of them work).
If no-one's interested, it'll be on eBay next week - I'll post the link on here.
It's HEAVY, so postage will be too. Probably around the £20-25 mark for UK shipping. I did mention it's in the UK? I did now.

Right. I've retrieved it from storage.
I'd forgotten how big it is! Nearly did meself a mischief :(
Cosmetically it's very good, APART from the "wooden" end cheeks - they're a bit rough, and one of them has a slightly rough corner.
I've powered it up, the "power" light comes on, and the lighted switches work. The "phase" light pulses as expected.
The "Rate" led just stays on all the time.
I can't get any sound out of it, but that may be because I don't have a proper amp for it.
I'm uploading the photos to the "photos" section right now. Look for the "Crumar Stratus for sale" album..

I should point out that I've already had some interest in this from group members.

It weighs 19KG. Parcelfarce is quoting £27, but I can get the same service (parcelfarce) for about £15 if I go through parcel2go..
Not sure how THAT works.

I've just received an e-mail from eBay - it's a zero-listing-fee
weekend!

So that means if no-one here buys the Stratus by about 7pm on Saturday
night (London Time), it'll be on eBay, along with some other stuff.

The description is on this thread, and the photos are uploaded too.

Payment by PayPal, please - e-mail me for the paypal e-mail address.
I'm asking £100 for the synth - it's got to be worth more than that
for spares! I've stated £20 for p&p - if it's more, I'll cover it. If
it's significantly less, I'll refund the difference.

The beast is already packaged up and ready to go - I can ship it out on
Monday

Paul.

P.S. No international postage - this thing weighs 19kg! (according to my
bathroom scales - it may be more..)

Hi Roman,
Parcel2go are quoting me £22 for 3+ days delivery to Germany, which is amazing considering it's the same as the UK price! (the UK one is 24/48 hrs)

So I take back my statement about international postage - it's viable!

Looks like I have two possibly three interested buyers -
UK, Germany & Sweden.

So, it's all down to whoever pays first.
I will refund unsuccessful bidders asap.

UK postage is £20 (if it's less, I'll refund the difference)
Looks like Sweden is £27, Germany is £22.

Right. We have a winner.
It's sold to the UK bidder.

Many thanks for all the interest!

I *may* be listing my MiniKorg 700 this weekend on eBay.
Depends on whether I find the time.
