Crumar T1

2002-01-03 by James Nelms

Hello,
I have a question that maybe someone could
suggest a solution to. I have a Crumar T1 organ that
prouces a "crackly" sound when some of the keys are
depressed...I had cleaned the spring contacts a few
months ago with some electrical contact cleaner that I
purchased at Radio Shack, but the problem seems to
have come back somewhat...Any suggestions?

Best,
James

Hi Massimo!
Thanks for your advice! But unfortunately it´s an idea ihad myself a couple of weeks ago. I sent several e-mails to DB electronics at last begging for any answer but they never remailt. :-( So I don´t know what´s going on there. Maybe they considerit to be too complicated since they are located in the USA and myself in Europe (but they could even e-mail, we´re living in the 21st century !!!???). Anyway, I don´t know but thanks for your advice again. ;-)
Regards Oliver
Ps.: Thomás promised me to mail the Bit One service Manual, I hope he will do so!!!

Hi James,
the only solution I can suggest is to tray again with a good
electrical contact cleaner if you are shure of the origin of the
problem.

Good luck

Massimo.

James,
Did you also clean the key contact rails at the same time?.
Are there any pot marks/dints/ wear marks in the spring contacts and the rails?.
If there are then they will need to be replaced.
Plus, look at the keyboard control chips, they sometimes work there way out of the sockets, just give them a little press back into the socket.

Crumar T1

2005-06-09 by pookie_123_36526

Hi all you Crumar owners/users. I have recently purchased a Crumar T1
keyboard and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get an owners
manual or a copy of an owners manual. Thanks for your help!

Re: [crumar] Crumar T1

2005-06-09 by Tony Cunningham

I don't know. Crumar are one of the most difficult
keys to own when in need of repair. I did, however,
find a good repair man here in cleveland ohio. He
repaired a broken circuit board on my T1. It sounded
as if it were brand new afterwards. If you find any
thing on this board please share.
I myself would like to find accessories for these like
the swell pedal. or the bass pedals for my
orchestrator. As for manuals I'll keep looking
reguardless.

What specific info were you looking for from the
manual?

Re: [crumar] Crumar T1

Hey Tony and thanks for the reply! I bought a T1 off E-Bay recently and it will be here tomorrow. So, I don't actually have it yet. I might be able to look at it and figure out how everything works. Looks pretty straight forward. I am a guitar player by nature, but I heard the B3 like sound this keyboard has and decided to bid on it. I won it and now I am trying to find some info on it. I found where I can get schematics, but no signs of an owners manual being out there. I play with some friends and we do a lot of 60's tunes, which have tons of organ in them. So, since there are 2 guitar players and I know a little keyboard stuff, I decided to venture out and try it. I'll drop you a line when I get it and fire it up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again for the reply!
