schematics for the Trilogy

Hi this guy is suggesting that he has the schematics for the Trilogy. tbritt@... I know the sounds do not have big Moog sound that one expects upon seeing such a big layout. The organ can be tweaked to sound pretty good if you layer it with a bassy-toned synth sound and mix them to the right levels. Keep some of the highs out of the on-board organ by lowering the upper pipes slider. The strings have a very 70's imitation sound that works great for Studio 54 disco era stuff and Isley Bros tunes. If you were looking for current heavy electronic sounds or Emerson, Lake and Palmer- I agree that this unit is not the one! It has served me well for a keyboard that played multiple sounds at the same time that allowed one of those sounds to be changed while the others were still being heard. It is thinner sounding because of its design. It is not really a true synth in the classic sense. It uses a oscillator that is divided down to obtain the lower pitches. This is the same tchnology that was used in some more corny sounding old home organs that had the "cheesy Drums" on board. This was a must to keep the cost down while providing all of the options that it has. Its strings were considered Pretty OK at the time of its release and their exact sound is very hard to find in units of today. One user thinks you should just sample the sounds on it and not worry about actally having it or playing it for real. I have the schematics for the unit and have only had to fix mine once in 17 years while taking it on well over a hundred dates in three states under some tough conditions. I didn't buy a road case but only the carry bag that came with it and it has still held up. Hope all of this is of some use to you. Good luck and I believe you will be able to sell it if you like. In fact, get a hold of me if you want to. I could use a spare! tbritt@...
