I got in that DS-1. It is in great shape, but it needs the following: Osc 1 Mixer - Needs the knob and switch. Pitch Bender needs the handlebar. Aside from that, cosmetically it needs a new handle. Does anyone know where I can get any of these parts? ~Bunt

Hi Bunt, I've been looking for a few odds and ends for my DS-2, but to no avail. The best you (or I) can hope for is to find a junked DS-1 or 2 and salvage the required parts. I know that several Crumar keyboards shared knobs and the like, but I don't recall any Crumar that had the pitch bender handlebar. In that regard, your options for a replacement are rather limited. A few months back, an eBay seller announced he would be parting out a DS-2, but nothing much came of it. I'll drop him a message and see if he has anything available. By the way, did you find out what was causing your pitch problems? Was it the chips or something else? All the best, Chris --- In crumar@yahoogroups.com, "JD C H" <buntcurtis@y...> wrote:

I saw some auctions for DS-2 parts a few months ago. It was completely ridiculous. The minimum bid for a single key (no mention of which one) was something like $15 USD and knobs where even higher each. Of course nobody bought anything. Hmmm... That was probably the guy I corresponded with. He had good feedback, but he didn't seem to know much about keyboards. And his lack of followup to my inquiries was annoying. Considering the dismal performance of his auctions, perhaps he'd be willing to price his items more reasonably. It really is silly to pay so much for so little. Then again, when I consider that a few slider caps and a control knob would make my DS-2 complete, paying those prices doesn't seem so ridiculous.
