Crumar Composer hell...

Crumar Composer hell...

2007-09-29 by Marco

Hello to all, i just joined your group: i own a Multiman S/2 and a
Composer and i love them, but the Composer is just making me cry
because i couldn't find in any way his schematics and /or service
manual, i just tried everywhere and i see that everyone who owns one
has the same problem, in this group too...
If anyone could help me or managed to fix this issue, please tell!!! :-)
Anyway it was just told to me that its architecture could be very
similar to a Trilogy or Stratus, anyone knows if it's true? I
downloaded the Stratus scehmatics from here and could be useful with
the help of a good tech...
Anyone has the Trilogy schematics too? Thank you in advance to all for
any help.

Marco.

Dear Marco,

I don't know if it's helpful to you, but I understand you can find, and
buy the Crumar Trilogy schematics at musicparts.com.
(I however don't know if Crumar Trilogy, and Crumar Composer are almost
identical in technical respect, or not.)

Yours sincerely,

Pj Peeters

Thank you, i just spotted them there, but i'm waiting for a response from my tech to know if the Stratus schematics i sent him are helpful and if it's possible that having the Trilogy ones could be useful for the fix, so i should buy them...
I'll keep you all informed ;-)

It's not real helpful. The trilogy is a completely different beast except for the fact that the Composer also uses curtis chips. It only has two 'channels' of them though. One for paraphonic polysynth and one for monosynth it appears. The monosynth is M110B1 driven while the other parts use a bunch of TMS3617's as i recall. Anyway I'm looking for a schematic if anyone ever turned one up... mine has a way strange issue.
