Either you are referring to the betatest site, which is accessible only to registered beta testers (and is not a ColorVision or Datacolor address, which should tell you if thats the case) or you are trying to download from the European CV site, which has instituted their own form on download screening, which requires you signup with them to download updates.
Since I have registered with Color Vision I have never received
information on this update or anything else for that matter.
I'd suggest going to your ColorVision site (US or Europe, depending on which newsletter you want) and sign up again. There should be a blast today noting that the installers are up on the sites, I would think.
If I
hadn't been following this group I would not have known about the update.
No one would until the user blasts go out telling them. Given that the software is only going up today, its understandable that they haven't gotten the announcements out yet.
Have I registered incorrectly or have others experienced the same thing?
Depends on how recently you signed up. If it was in the last month, there may have not been a newsletter since you signed on (we try not to flood people's email boxes). If its been months, then sign up again...
