Used PrintFix Pro Ver 2.0 to make 8 profiles for 8 matte papers I had on hand. (Red River Aurora & Dourian Art, Epson Enhansed Matte & Velvet, MOAB Enrtada Natural & Kayenta, Hawk Merlin Brite White & Condor Natural). Then printed the same image with each paper using my new profiles. I live in southern Utah and love the national parks in the area - so I chose a sunset taken from Dead Horse State Park looking into Canyonlands National Park. Lots of reds, browns, distant blues and a little green along the river banks. Parts of the scene are backlit from a partially overcast sky. None of the profiles have been tweaked - just right off the press. All were printed using Qimage & 8.5 x 11 matte papers. I can't believe how close one image is to another. Nothing so different as to be obvious. Few people would see any difference between the images. The few differences I see came after long hard looking are: Red River Aurora does less well with shadow detail while their Dourian Art which does quite well. MOAB Entrada Natural does well in the shadows but their Kayenta is too dark. Hawk Condor Natural has a slight edge in shadows over Merlin Brite White Epson Velvet & Enhansed Matte were interchangeable. They all look about the same in the highlights. But then isn't that what a good profiling program should do - Make them all look like what you see on the monitor! Congratulations to Colorvision and the PrintFix Pro team.
