Re: [colorvision_group] Power issue with colorimeter

2007-03-26 by David Emerick

Sorry, I had to get a bite to eat. The XML file is in the PRO folder and I
was using the unit connected to the back USB port on the computer. I tried
using the second USB port (on the back) and the one on the back of the
monitor. I am aware of the power USB issues. No luck means no power to the
colorimeter, it just went dead.....

John ; Did this e-mail come through correctly?

Thanks guys for your thoughts!

You need to tell us what OS, what port you were using the first time,
what port the second time, what "no luck" means, and whether the XML
data file for your readings is in the PRO folder after communication is
lost. Keep in mind that some computer front ports are not fully
powered, and the keyboard ports are definately not fully powered, so a
back port or a powered port (with a transformer connected to it and
plugged in) are the only two assured ways to power a spectro.
