Actually, my lag time between when the finished beep sounds, and when I push the button for the next patch is consistantly below .3 seconds (my entire measurement to measurement cycle, including this is about a second). I can press the button for the next measurement so soon that the minimum allowance needed to not refuse my measurements, and slow down my readings, would be pretty much the same as that which a reread would require, and certainly less than many other people's rereads would require. There are just no absolutes here to hang a safety check on. Repeat readings with close values can be legit, fast rereadings can be legit. Checks would slow down processing, and slow down faster users.

If anyone has suggestions of safety checks that won't slow down fast users or cause false errors, I'd love to hear them, though sending them to me privately would be the preferred method, rather than discussing them on a public list.
