Hello there, Question: Does anyone in this group use Printfix Pro to profile their printer for use with the Imageprint RIP? Reason for asking: I have an Epson 4800 printer using Imageprint 6.x RIP. (Windows XP, Apple Cinema Display 23") I have been getting some mismatch between screen output and printer output lately & wondered whether custom profiles done with the RIP would give me more satisfactory control over the output...(Interestingly, the IP Phatte Black profiles are a much closer and more satisfactory match than the IP 8 ink profiles on luster papers.) I have an older Colorvision Spyder that I use to profile my monitor and am thinking of getting a new monitor calibration device, but wonder whether I shouldn't be getting a printer profile package at the same time to allow me the option of fine-tuning the RIP output. ( I have had access to an Eye-one system in the past which gave me good profiles using the Epson Print Driver & Qimage but alas it is no longer available to me.) Has anyone here had success and satisfactory results using PFP and IP together? Thanks. -evan
