Spyder 2 pro issue

2007-10-12 by ferdylau

I used spyder 2 pro to calibrate my eizo flexscan 2411w. When I
compared the print out (from epson pro 3850 using canned profile) vs
monitor, the monitor showed too much of magenta. I decided to adjust
the monitor magenta's satuation & hue values, as well as the yellow
color, the result got better. So I did an experiment by running RGB
slider section with the present magneta & yellow setting and with them
setting back to zero. I found all the 4 parameters : x, y, color temp,
white luminance got the same values. Why are they the same? Should I
adjust the monitor in this manner?
I used the same sensor to calibrate my philip 17" LCD with the black &
white luminance same as eizo monitor. The image has a blue shift(as
compared to the print out & eizo). Since I can't adjust the saturation
& hue of @ color on philip LCD, how can i make 2 monitors displaying
closely? The 2 monitors are in a dual monitor environment. Best rgds!
